Madhya Pradesh identifies four mega circuits

Madhya Pradesh has identified four mega circuit projects in the state.
These circuits include Orchha-Gwalior-Shivpuri-Khajuraho, Indore-Ujjain-Omkareshwar-Maheshwar-Mandu circuit, Jabalpur-Bhedaghat-Mandla-Kanha-Bandhavgarh-Amarkantak and Bhopal-Sanchi-Bhojpur-Bhim Bethka-Pachmarhi.
Among the four circuits identified, the 410km long Orchha-Gwalior-Shivpuri-Khajuraho will be the priority circuit, the officials said. The work for INR6,474 lakh Orchha circuit project includes welcome arch at Tighela, informatory signs to indicate ways and distances up to the city, conservation of seven historic heritage buildings, development of budget hotels, expansion of Kanchan Ghat, use of incinerators for solid waste management, strengthening of existing roads leading to Jahangir Fort and development of tourist facilities at Sunset Point.
Similarly, works will also be undertaken to develop Khajuraho approach road, hospitality and skill development institution, development of Dantala under MICE tourism, Khajuraho cultural village and Kunti dam, Raneh waterfall. Similarly, mega circuit project development in Gwalior, Baija and Katora tanks will be developed.
