Malaysia Airlines and Royal Air Maroc have announced a new codeshare partnership, effective immediately, aimed at enhancing travel connectivity across Africa, Europe, and Asia.
This strategic collaboration allows passengers greater flexibility and access to a broader range of destinations through the networks of both airlines.
The agreement enables Malaysia Airlines to place its 'MH' code on Royal Air Maroc flights between Casablanca and key cities such as Doha, London, and Paris.
Conversely, Royal Air Maroc will add its 'AT' code to Malaysia Airlines flights connecting Kuala Lumpur with Doha, London, and Paris. This initiative is part of both airlines' commitment to strengthening their cooperation within the oneworld alliance.
Milestone partnership
Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Group Managing Director of Malaysia Aviation Group, highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating, "Our partnership with Royal Air Maroc represents a key milestone in Malaysia Airlines’ network strategy as we continue to strengthen our global reach through strategic alliances."
Hamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc, echoed this sentiment, noting, "This strategic partnership with Malaysia Airlines marks a major step in the development of our international network and strengthens our position as a key bridge between Africa, Europe, and Asia."
This collaboration is expected to optimise synergies between the two carriers, providing passengers with smoother connections and a seamless travel experience.
As members of the oneworld alliance, both airlines offer access to a global network of over 900 destinations, enhancing travel benefits for their customers.
