Malaysia Airlines launches three-day sales blitz and competition for agents

Malaysia Airlines is running a three-day sales blitz in the UK to celebrate Malaysia Day on 16 September. 

This initiative, which runs from the 5-7 September, includes visits to key travel agents, including Trailfinders, Virgin Holidays, Southall Travel, Kuoni, Travel Bag, STA Travel and Flight Centre.

The sales blitz will offer agents the opportunity to win a place on the airline’s familiarisation trip in November.

The week-long tour will include a visit to the Petronas Twin Towers, a jet ski tour of Langkawi Archipelago and a walking guide of Penang’s George Town, famous for its food markets and UNESCO World Heritage status, followed by a gala dinner in Kuala Lumpur on the last night.

Adrian Keating, Malaysia Airlines regional manager for the UK & Europe said: “We are excited to be celebrating with the trade to mark two momentous days in Malaysia’s history. As part of our collaboration with Tourism Malaysia we are confident that these activities will inspire the trade to put magical Malaysia at the forefront of holidays they offer. As the national carrier, with double daily services from London, we are very proud to showcase the incredibly diverse destinations we serve across Malaysia.’’
