The 2026 Medical Travel Korea Conference, organised by Medical Travel Korea, convened on 31 March at the Seoul Tourism Foundation. The conference featured notable speakers, including Hong Seung-wook from the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, who provided insights into medical tourism trends for 2025 and 2026. Kim Jin-guk, Chairman of the Korea Medical Tourism Association, addressed industry challenges and future directions.

Innovative collaborations were highlighted by Park Won-hee and Ahn Deok-su from Grand Korea Leisure, who proposed partnerships between casinos and hospitals to enhance Korea's medical tourism appeal. Jo Seung-hee from Google Korea discussed leveraging Google Ads and the Reserve with Google feature to convert online searches into patient bookings.

Further sessions explored strategies for attracting international patients. Lee Su-jeong from Nolaverse identified global growth opportunities, whilst Lee Je-woo, CEO of Hanatour ITC, shared tactics for increasing foreign visitor numbers. The importance of professional medical interpreting was underscored by Choi Young-jun, CEO of K-Medi Guide.

Financial solutions were also a focal point, with Woori Bank introducing a new membership programme for seamless medical payments. Toss Payments explained the benefits of international payment gateways for patients and providers.

Do Hae-yong, CEO of Medical Travel Korea, concluded the event by emphasising the role of AI in customer service and the importance of ongoing industry collaboration. The conference aimed to foster regular exchanges among professionals to shape the future of medical tourism
