More Indians travel to South Africa

South Africa registered 26.2% increase in Indian arrivals in 2011. The destination received 90,367 Indian tourists travelling the country during the last calendar year.
Hanneli Slabber, Country Head for South African Tourism in India said; “The arrival figures provide the assurance and confidence for us to invest and reach out to travellers in the country. We have a long term vision and expectation from India and going forward our engagement with trade and consumers would help us in realising this vision.”
The country’s tourism board this year has drafted an extensive marketing, trade engagement and consumer outreach programs to communicate and promote the destination effectively amongst the audience.
