MTR Corporation and the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) have unveiled a new cultural initiative, "T Chai x Pharaoh Cat: A Journey into Ancient Egypt," running from 28 May to the end of August. This collaboration transforms nine MTR stations and malls into a cultural discovery route, inviting the public to explore 5,000 years of ancient Egyptian civilisation.

The campaign, inspired by the Nile's historical significance, connects various MTR locations, including Hong Kong Station, Admiralty Station, and Kowloon Tong Station, with themed installations. At Hong Kong Station, visitors can experience an ancient Egyptian temple scene, complete with a themed train compartment and a giant pyramid installation, until 28 June. Interactive elements, such as a hieroglyph installation, allow participants to convert their names into ancient Egyptian script.

Linda Choy, Corporate Affairs and Branding Director of MTR Corporation, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "When Pharaoh T Chai meets the Pharaoh Cat, this new pairing not only adds fun to every journey but also encourages the public and visitors to explore different MTR stations and malls."

Dr Louis Ng, Museum Director of HKPM, highlighted the initiative's role in extending the museum experience beyond its walls, bringing ancient Egyptian artefacts closer to local audiences and visitors.

The campaign also features limited-edition souvenirs, including plush key charms and decorative accessories, available for public purchase. Additionally, MTR offers a special package combining museum admission with transport options, enhancing the visitor experience.

Participants can engage in an "exploration mission" by collecting digital badges via MTR Mobile, further enriching their journey through this unique cultural route
