New Tiger reserves planned

The Ministry of Environment and Forests has given in-principal approval to the National Tiger Conservation Authority for the creation of five new tiger reserves in India.
The new tiger reserves will be created at Pilibhit (Uttar Pradesh), Ratapani (Madhya Pradesh), Sunadeda (Odisha), Mukundara Hills (including Darrah, Jawahar, Sagar and Chambal Wildlife Sanctuaries in Rajasthan) and Satyamangalam (Tamil Nadu) and Kudremukh (Karnataka).
This in-principle was given by Jayanti Natarajan, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Environment and Forests. The Minister further stated that the state governments have been advised to send proposals for declaring the following areas as tiger reserves:
