NMIAL & Apollo Hospitals Partner to Deliver 24×7 Healthcare at NMIA

Medical centre at Terminal 1 to offer round-the-clock emergency and disaster response support ahead of airport operations.

Team of ACLS-certified medical professionals including doctors, nurses and drivers to ensure continuous medical readiness. Two on-site ICU ambulances and 65 AEDs to enhance rapid response and passenger safety across the airport.

Navi Mumbai International Airport (Pvt) Ltd (NMIAL), the operator of Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), and Apollo Hospitals, Mumbai, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide comprehensive, round-the-clock healthcare services for both airport employees and passengers. The collaboration strengthens NMIA’s emergency preparedness and medical response capabilities ahead of the start of commercial operations.

Located just four kilometres from NMIA, Apollo Hospitals, Mumbai, is one of the region’s most advanced multispecialty healthcare institutions. Under the agreement, the hospital will help set up a 24x7 medical centre at Terminal 1. The centre will be equipped with emergency medical support and disaster management facilities. It will be staffed by a highly skilled team comprising three doctors, eight nursing staff and two drivers, ensuring continuous medical readiness. All medical staff will be Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)-certified, guaranteeing the highest standards of critical care at NMIA.

NMIA will also house two fully equipped Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ambulances, stationed on-site and ready for immediate response in emergency situations. Additionally, 65 Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) will be strategically installed across the terminals to provide rapid assistance during cardiac emergencies.
