The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recently played host to Oman’s Ministry of Tourism’s first roadshow in 2015.
The objective of the event was to intensify its campaign to promote the Sultanate’s main tourist attractions in the Kingdom.
The roadshow was held in collaboration with Oman Air and covered three major Saudi cities – Riyadh; Al Khobar and Jeddah.
Major local travel agents and corporate clients discussed ways to bolster efforts that will position Oman as a main tourist destination in the GCC region.
Salem Adi Al Mamari, director general of tourism promotion, Oman’s Ministry of Tourism, said: “The roadshow will give our tourism campaign a significant boost – allowing us to strategically reach our target market. We also established partnerships with local travel agencies to effectively and efficiently promote Oman to potential visitors.”
As a result of ongoing programmes and initiatives, Oman has experienced substantial tourist arrival growth. According to National Center for Statistics and Information in Oman, number of GCC tourists visiting Oman has increased by 10% at the end of 2014 in comparison to 2013.
