More than 400,000 foreign tourists have landed in Phuket since May 1st when the Test and Go program, according to Phuket Immigration.
On August 30, Phuket International Airport Immigration reported the current arrival statistics. From 1 May to 30 August, 104,350 Indian nationals arrived in Phuket, which is the number one foreign country by far.
In order, other top arrivals are:
- Australian – 44,313
- Singaporean – 39,257
- British – 27,683
- Malaysian – 22,920
- German – 16,100
- American – 14,150
- Russian – 13,016
Thailand grants visa extensions to foreign tourists from October to March to encourage more arrivals for the upcoming high season.
