Regent Seven Seas Cruises Confirms Third Prestige-Class Luxury Ship for 2033 Delivery

Regent Seven Seas Cruises (RSSC), the epitome of ultra-luxury cruising, has announced an exciting expansion of its fleet with the order of a third Prestige-class ship, scheduled for delivery in 2033. This newbuild continues Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ strategic growth in the luxury cruise market, following the highly anticipated debut of the first Prestige-class vessel, Seven Seas Prestige, set to launch next year, and a second sister ship arriving in 2030.

The Prestige-class marks a new chapter for Regent, representing its first new ship class in a decade. These ships are designed to elevate the guest experience to unprecedented levels, boasting a 40% larger size than previous Regent vessels while increasing guest capacity by only 10%, accommodating just 822 passengers. This preserves one of the highest space-to-guest and crew-to-guest ratios in the industry, ensuring exceptional comfort, personalised service, and an intimate atmosphere onboard.

Key highlights of the Prestige-class include 12 distinct suite categories, featuring four new types and the show-stopping Skyview Regent Suite. This suite is currently the largest all-inclusive ultra-luxury cruise ship suite ever built, with 8,794 square feet of living space and a massive 3,700 square feet wraparound balcony. Amenities include a private gym, sauna, two bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, an in-suite elevator, and a hand-carved bathtub, blending extravagance and comfort for the most discerning travellers.

Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, said, “This newbuild order reflects our confidence in the growing demand for Regent’s best-in-class offering and reaffirms our long-standing partnership with Fincantieri, rooted in craftsmanship and a shared pursuit of perfection.”

Fincantieri, the renowned Italian shipbuilder, continues its collaboration with the luxury brand, having already built multiple ships for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ portfolio. The partnership emphasises innovation, sustainability, and the highest standards of marine craftsmanship.

The Prestige-class fleet is also celebrated for its refined design, which includes new public spaces with elegant decor, expanded culinary options, and enhanced guest amenities that promise to redefine luxury at sea.

The addition of this third Prestige-class ship signals a confident outlook for the future of ultra-luxury cruising, offering more opportunities for travellers to enjoy the exquisite service, spacious accommodations, and enriching, intimate experiences that distinguish Regent Seven Seas Cruises as a leader in the upscale cruise market.

As the new vessel prepares to join the world’s most luxurious fleet, guests can look forward to continued innovation and unparalleled elegance on cruise itineraries that span the globe.
