Ruler issues decree for SCTDA restructuring

Supreme council member and ruler of Sharjah HH Sheikh Dr Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi issued an order restructuring Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA).
As per the decree disclosed in WAM, the Commerce and Tourism Development Authority of the emirate of Sharjah will be an entity enjoying juridical personality and financial and administrative independence, and will have full legal authority to achieve its objectives.
The Authority, in cooperation with private sector and in coordination with the competent authorities, will be responsible for promoting commercial and tourism activities. The objectives also include development of tourism resources and employment for contributing to the development of national economy. The Authority will be headquartered in the emirate of Sharjah and will have the right to establish branches and bureaus outside the emirate.
