Sabre Travel Network Middle East (Sabre) recently signed an agreement with National Travel & Tourism (NTT) in Oman.
The deal means NTT will now exclusively use Sabre’s travel technology solutions to book travel packages for its customers across the Sultanate. Sabre products including low fare shopping, business intelligence and automation tools will help NTT increase their portfolio of corporate accounts in Oman. NTT will also use Sabre’s Web Booking Engine, an advanced internet booking tool that will help them tap into the lucrative and competitive online marketplace.
Daniel Naoumovitch, Sabre’s chief executive, said: “By signing up for a complete Sabre package, NTT is well placed to improve their internal reporting structures, customer interactions, efficiency and market intelligence.”
In line with its plan of attracting over 12 million tourists in 2020, Oman has already initiated a large number of tourism-related projects, including the construction of new airports, upgrading of transportation infrastructure, a special cruise-only port and additional hotel rooms to accommodate the visitors.
Additionally, NTT will also have access to Sabre Red Workspace providing faster start up times, higher performance even in low bandwidth areas, stability and quick and easy access to low fare content.
