Saudia Group has successfully graduated and integrated over 1,000 trainees into its aviation workforce, marking one of the largest cohorts in its history. This achievement supports Saudi Arabia's National Aviation Strategy by strengthening the Kingdom's aviation talent pipeline. The graduates completed eight specialised programmes offered by Saudia Group and its subsidiaries, including Saudia, Saudia Academy, and Saudi Ground Services, among others.
The graduation ceremony, held in Jeddah on 20 February 2026, was attended by key figures such as the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, and the Director General of Saudia Group, Ibrahim Al-Omar. Al-Jasser emphasised the importance of developing national talent, stating, “Graduating more than 1,000 aviation professionals in a single year reflects the scale and pace of transformation underway across the Kingdom’s transport and logistics sector.”
Al-Omar highlighted the Group's progress in localising critical aviation roles, noting that they have surpassed performance indicators by margins ranging from 43% to 230%. He added, “The next phase of our transformation, particularly as we elevate the guest experience and strengthen global competitiveness, depends on continued investment in specialised national talent.”
Saudia Group's ongoing investment in national capabilities is central to its long-term growth strategy, which includes expanding its fleet, infrastructure, and training. This initiative plays a crucial role in connecting Saudi Arabia to global markets and supporting national objectives in tourism, logistics, and the service of pilgrims
