Element by Westin® Wroclaw opens with 115 keys in Poland

Hotel Co 51 has boosted the number of Marriott-owned brands in its European portfolio following the opening of the new-build Element by Westin® Wroclaw. Tapping into the growing demand for a longer stay experience that reflects travellers’ active, eco-conscious lifestyle, the 115-room property becomes the first branded extended-stay hotel with a globally loyalty programme in the vibrant city of Wroclaw, in southwestern Poland. As only the second Element hotel in Europe, the pet-friendly property showcases the brand’s new design direction, inspired by nature and wellbeing. This combines modern facilities with smart, sustainable practices, with its choice of studio rooms including family-friendly options. For a home away from home feel, each high-quality room incorporates a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious living areas and spa-inspired bathroom. Guests will also be able to enjoy the brand’s signature ‘Rise’ complimentary breakfast, dine on-site in The Salon Restaurant and join the hour-long Relax evening reception from 6.30pm Mondays to Thursdays. In addition to a flexible fitness area and meeting space for use throughout the day, the hotel also offers a dedicated laundry room plus underground on-site parking, including electric car charging. Element Wroclaw is the first hotel to open in the Wroclaw Business Garden; a modern and ecologically-minded office campus to the east of the city centre that has established itself as one of Poland’s largest business parks since opening in 2017. With the six-hectare business park counting pharmaceutical companies, business services and IT leaders amongst its tenants, Element Wroclaw is well-placed to service the expanding number of high-profile companies based in the city. The oneworld® alliance’s partnership with Elemental Cognition and use of its advanced AI capabilities in the EC AI Platform, powered by Google Cloud, have revolutionised the booking process for oneworld’s popular ‘Round the World’ tickets. This innovative AI travel agent was designed to streamline the process of booking intricate flight itineraries, addressing complex product rules and fluctuating flight availability. With the help of intuitive state-of-the-art AI technology, the new booking tool guides travellers in crafting elaborate itineraries that often involve multiple airlines, enhancing the global travel experience. Powered by Google Cloud, the EC AI Platform provides the reliability, accuracy, and transparency necessary for oneworld to simplify the booking journey, significantly enhancing the customer experience. In just six months, oneworld used Elemental Cognition’s platform to successfully develop and deploy this multi-modal AI ticketing agent, which operates globally in real time. The ‘Round the World’ fares include all oneworld airlines, hundreds of destinations, and millions of flight combinations. Traditional airline booking engines struggle with these complex booking journeys, which can involve up to 16 stages. The smart oneworld AI travel agent, however, reliably overcomes this complexity, significantly enhancing the booking process. oneworld Alliance and artificial intelligence (AI) company Elemental Cognition have completed initial trials of their state-of-the-art booking tool that helps customers navigate the complex process of planning a “Round the World” ticket. With hundreds of possible destinations and millions of possible flight combinations, these “Round the World” tickets are some of the most complicated products in the industry. In contrast to the general shift towards online channels, the majority of these trips are still booked with human agents. oneworld challenged EC to build a solution that combines the power and flexibility of the best human agents with the convenience and efficiency of a self-serve technology solution. Leveraging EC’s breakthrough reasoning, natural language understanding, and dialog capabilities, the solution understands a customer’s needs, helps them weigh options and trade-offs while proactively warning them of potential issues. All while navigating the complex product rules and ever-changing flight availability. The initial results are very promising – those customers using the new tool are four times more likely to create bookable itineraries that meet their requirements than those using the standard interface. “As our customers plan their next international adventure, we are focused on improving the experience for travellers booking a oneworld Round the World ticket.
