Shangri-La Hotel Sydney has unveiled 477 newly-refurbished rooms and suites. The rooms, located on levels four to 29 of the hotel, all now include window seating to offer views across the harbour, as well as iHome docks, Bluetooth media hubs and custom designed furniture and carpets. All rooms also come equipped with sensor lighting to reduce energy consumption along with air conditioning that automatically returns to its standard setting after guests leave the room.
“The launch of the newly enhanced guestrooms is a crowning touch to our six-month, AU$20 million (US$19.8 million) refurbishment programme,” said the hotel’s General Manager, Franz Donhauser. “Enhancing the comfort and sophistication of our rooms and suites will further strengthen Shangri-La’s position as Sydney’s leading five-star deluxe hotel, and provide a new benchmark for luxury accommodation today’s frequent travellers deserve.”
Shangri-La Hotel Sydney is located in the city’s Rocks district between the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
