Singapore Food Festival kicks off

The Singapore Food Festival recently kicked off at Lulu hypermarkets and participating restaurant locations across the UAE.
The festival is on until 2 March 2013 which showcases Singapore’s cultural offerings. Participants include 20 Singapore food and beverage companies showcasing a variety of food products, live cooking demonstrations hosted by Singapore celebrity chef Violet Oon and host of prizes.
Umej Singh Bhatia, Singapore’s Ambassador to the UAE inaugurated the Singapore Food Festival. “Singapore cuisine weaves a unique blend of aromas and flavours that reflects our cross-cultural and multi-ethnic heritage,” said HE Umej Singh Bhatia.
Three of the country’s most famous dishes are on show which is Chilli Crab, Chicken Rice and Singapore Satay. The Singapore Food Festival is a joint initiative of IE Singapore, the Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association (SFMA) and LuLu.
