Siyam World Maldives has made history by setting a Guinness World Records title for "The Most People Snorkelling Simultaneously at a Single Venue." On 5 December, the resort gathered 307 snorkelers, surpassing the required 250 participants, to create a vibrant spectacle on its house reef. This event marked the first time a resort has achieved such a feat, with Guinness World Records officials on-site to verify the accomplishment.
The event, dubbed "Snorkel World 300," was more than just a record attempt; it celebrated marine life and community spirit, aligning with Sun Siyam Resorts’ sustainability initiatives. Participants, including guests and locals, received official Guinness World Records medals, marking the first such ceremony in the Maldives. Resort Manager Ausy Waseem expressed pride in the achievement, stating, "Being the first resort in the world to set a Guinness World Records title is something we will always carry with pride."
Siyam World is renowned for its adventurous offerings and has now added this record to its list of unique experiences. The event highlighted Maldivian hospitality and ocean culture, further cementing the resort's reputation as a destination where extraordinary experiences are the norm. This achievement not only enhances Siyam World's standing but also showcases the Maldives on a global stage, contributing to its allure as a premier travel destination.
