SriLankan Airlines relaunched flights between Colombo and Jeddah on 15 August 2023, and was honoured to fly a group of Umrah Pilgrims from Tiruchirappalli, India on the inaugural flight to Jeddah, which is a gateway to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
SriLankan now offers a thrice weekly service from Colombo to Jeddah every Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday with seamless connections for Indian Umrah Pilgrims across the cities of Trichy, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Trivandrum, Chennai and Madurai.
