Swissôtel Makkah to open by mid-July

The Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts will soon be launching the Swissôtel Makkah. The hotel with 1487 appointed rooms and suites will be the largest hotel of Saudi Arabia. The soon to be unveiled hotel will mark the hotel group’s first venture in the Middle East and is due to welcome guests from the 1st day of Ramadan in July 2012. The hotel will also offers 22 disabled-friendly rooms.
The rooms will have views of the Grand Mosque and the Holy Kaaba. “With the most convenient location in the Holy City of Makkah, we anticipate Swissôtel Makkah to be the preferred destination not only for pilgrims and Umra performers but also for business travelers”, says Meinhard Huck, president Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts.
