The company earned the Business Class of the Year and Regional Airline of the Year categories from the awards programme.
Thai Airways International was given recognition at the TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards 2025 - Thailand for elevating business class with Thai heritage and for introducing an industry-first initiative.
Redefinition of the Royal Silk experience
Winning Business Class of the Year, Thai Airways International has introduced a new chapter in its Royal Silk Class (Business Class) experience with two key upgrades—an exclusive amenity kit designed with iconic Thai brand Jim Thompson and the launch of caviar service on outbound Europe routes.
As part of its Echoes of Thai Charm campaign, Thai Airways has partnered with Thompson, a world-renowned Thai design house, to create an amenity kit. These kits feature biodegradable packaging and come in one of 12 collectible patterns inspired by Thai motifs and regional colours.
The kit contains Marvis toothpaste, a biodegradable toothbrush, socks, a sleep mask, earplugs, and a shoehorn, as well as wellness essentials such as hand lotion, lip balm, and an aromatherapy roller for relaxation from Thai spa brand ERB.
Aside from this, Thai Airways introduced in 1 January 2025 the caviar service in Royal Silk Class on all outbound flights to Europe.
With this, guests can enjoy Caviar Giaveri “Siberian Classic”, a sustainably farmed Italian caviar known for its clean and delicate flavour. The caviar is paired with a rotating menu of elegant appetisers such as Hokkaido prawn, tuna tartare, jumbo crab, and Thai larb foie gras.
With these two new offerings, Thai Airways has raised the bar for premium air travel. More than a service upgrade, this is a reflection of the company’s deep focus on delivering excellence in every detail.
Next-generation upgrade
Meanwhile, winning Regional Airline of the Year, Thai Airways’s new Airbus A321neo fleet is deemed a major step in the airline’s transformation strategy as it combines advanced technology, greater fuel efficiency, and an elevated onboard experience.
Powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines, the aircraft delivers up to 20% less fuel use per seat, lower carbon emissions, and quieter takeoffs and landings.
These improvements align with Thai Airways’ environmental goals as well as with Thailand’s commitment to greener aviation.
Inside the cabin, passengers experience a fresh take on Thai hospitality, with design that drew inspiration from traditional Thai motifs and natural tones. There are also key upgrades, including larger overhead bins, ergonomic seats for improved comfort, and soft ambient LED lighting.
Moreover, Business Class on the A321neo features 16 fully lie-flat seats. Each seat is complete with more legroom and personal space, USB-C and AC power outlets, and premium meals and beverages.
In Economy Class, meanwhile, passengers can benefit from improved seat design with extra space, high-definition entertainment screens, and upgraded in-flight content and options.
Additionally, each aircraft has high-speed Wi-Fi and is equipped with crew members that received new training to deliver a more tech-savvy and personalised service.
The A321neo fleet will support new regional routes and increased flight frequencies across Asia, including destinations in Singapore, Japan, Korea, India, and China, amongst many others.
No matter the distance, passengers can expect from Thai Airways International the same high-quality experience across the board.
