Thailand launches new online campaign

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched a new short film to be used as part of its new online and social media marketing campaign. ‘Hearing the Sunshine’ follows a male tourist who travels to various places in Thailand recording the sounds he hears along the way, as well as meeting local people and attempting to learn the language. TAT Governor, Suraphon Svetasreni, told media delegates at the PATA Travel Mart in New Delhi today that the new campaign was intended to “strengthen and sharpen the brand image” of Thailand, focusing on the warmth and friendliness of Thai people. It is also part of a continued drive into the online marketing sector for the TAT.
