Alila Hotels & Resorts has made a raft of appointments this week:
The following have been hired as pre-opening GMs for its upcoming properties: Vijai Singh for the Alila Bishangarh Village in India, which is due to open in Q2 2014; Jork Bosselaar at Alila Jabal Akhdar in Oman; Andrew Tan at the Alila Jakarta; Marco Groten at the Alila Villas Uluwatu; and Noel Cameron will be joining the Alila Ubud.
The company has also hired three new director of sales: Demeiter Vaubel at Alila Jabal Akhdar, Taufik Rachman for sales in Indonesia and Ankur Rastogi will manage sales in India.
FCm Singapore has hired Sarah-Jane Tempest as its new national account management leader. Sarah-Jane comes with over 25 years experience having last held a post at American Express Business Travel as its regional director of global relationship management.
Winnee Lim has joined MyCEB as its new exhibition sales manager. With 12 years experience Lim will report directly to Ho Yoke Ping, the general manager of sales & marketing.
Rory Campbell has joined Outrigger Laguna Phuket as its new director of sales & marketing. Having started on 2 September he has racked up experience with the Hilton Barcelona, Ananatara Hotels in Thailand and Eaton Hotel in Hong Kong.
Travel giant TripAdvisor has hired Marc Charron as its president of TripAdvisor for business. The division specifically caters for the industry’s access to the company’s monthly site visitors. Charron, who will be based in London, UK said: TripAdvisor for Business has been instrumental in helping property owners transform inspiration into reservations. In my new role, I look forward to continuing to move TripAdvisor for Business forward and innovating to bring positive change to the industry with ideas such as our upcoming TripConnect platform, which connects independent hotels and B&Bs with the world’s largest online travel community.
