The Webster, a new lifestyle hotel brand, is set to open its first location, The Webster Covent Garden, in London this September, with a second property, The Webster Times Square, to follow in New York in early 2027. The brand aims to offer a culturally immersive experience, blending thoughtful design and engaging programme to appeal to the culturally curious traveller.
The Webster seeks to counter digital burnout by encouraging guests to reconnect with analogue pleasures and shared experiences. The hotels will feature curated libraries, intimate gathering spaces, and vibrant food and beverage destinations. Each property is designed to foster genuine connections, encouraging guests to unplug and engage with both fellow travellers and the local community.
The London hotel, located on Lincoln’s Inn Fields, draws inspiration from the area's rich literary history, whilst the New York property is named after the historic Webster Hotel, where Gabriel García Márquez once stayed. Joseph Turano, chief operating officer of The Webster, stated, "Our goal is to create spaces that invite curiosity, spark conversation, and cultivate a true sense of belonging."
Designed by London-based studio Red Deer, the hotels will feature serene guestrooms with warm neutral palettes and bespoke details. Public spaces will offer flexible gathering areas and library nooks for reflection and creativity. The Webster Covent Garden will include an outdoor lounge, whilst the New York location will introduce a dynamic dining and nightlife concept.
Both properties will be managed by Altus, with reservations for the London hotel now open, starting at $430 (£350) per night
