“Think Differently “is the theme for this year’s ACE Cruise Convention to be held in Southampton on May 1 and 2 this year. The conference’s main objective is to help agents increase their cruise sales and how to approach their business both mentally and physically.
ACE has lined up speakers and run sessions that are designed to inspire delegates to sell more cruise holidays said Andy Harmer, ACE director. He points out that this year more than ever we need to ‘Think Differently’ so that a cruise holiday stands out from the crowd as the obvious holiday choice that offers variety and exceptional value. Knowledge gained from this year’s convention should enable agents to increase their cruise sales and better identify potential new- to- cruise customers.
Business sessions will include the significant growth of ex-UK cruising with predictions suggesting that within three years more people will join their cruise in a British port than take a fly-cruise. Other topics include the growing appeal of European river journeys and expedition cruising together with a session focussing on the effective use of social media.
On the second day, delegates will have the opportunity to visit two cruise ships out of the four lined up in Southampton – Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth, P&O Cruises’ Adonia, Princess Cruises’ Grand Princess and Royal Caribbean International’s Independence of the Seas.
