UK operator Thomson will be cancelling its long-haul flights from Bristol Airport, due to reasons including a change in fleet.
A spokesperson for Bristol Airport has said that the company, part of TUI Travel PLC, is taking these measures in order to add new destinations from other UK airports.
The cancelled flights are to Cancun, Mexico and Florida respectively.
A statement from Thomson said: “Thomson is sorry for any disappointment caused by the change in the flying programme from Bristol airport for summer 2014.
“We regularly review our entire flying programme, and on this occasion the decision was taken to remove the two weekly long haul routes from Bristol airport.
“Thomson is committed to flying customers from their local airport to fantastic destinations. We continue to invest in our operations at Bristol airport and have recently announced new routes from Bristol to Kos, Thassos and Marrakech.”
