Thomson and First Choice has doubled its capacity from Leeds Bradford Airport for next summer.
The travel companies will introduce four new routes in summer 2013 to Menorca, Ibiza, Rhodes and Tenerife, as well as add extra weekly services to Mallorca and Turkey. It is also the only company to be flying to Sharm El Sheikh and Tunisia from the airport, with fly/cruise options also available to Majorca, Corfu and Turkey.
The move is part of a strategy to provide more connections from local airports.
“Doubling capacity at Leeds Bradford Airport demonstrates our continued commitment to the Yorkshire region and following the success of our expanded programme announced earlier in the year at the airport, we know that the demand is there,” said Paul Cooper, airport negotiations manager for Thomson and First Choice. “Modernising our operations across the UK is a key part of our overall strategy and this move is definitely a step in the right direction towards creating an enhanced holiday experience for our customers”.
