To support visitors who were unable to depart during the flooding, the Immigration Bureau is providing a temporary overstay fine exemption for foreign nationals in eight southern provinces: Songkhla, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Trang, Satun, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat.
The fine exemption applies to stays expiring from 20th November to 31st December.
Almost back to normal
Most destinations in Southern Thailand are fully accessible, with attractions, transport services, and airports operating normally.
These accessible destinations include Phuket, Phang-nga, Krabi, Ranong, Surat Thani (including Ko Samui, Ko Pha-ngan, and Ko Tao), Chumphon, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, Satun, and Phatthalung.

Recovery ongoing

Most hotels in Hat Yai and Songkhla have resumed normal operations, including properties such as The Signature Hotel Airport, PS Sriphu Hotel, River Hotel Hatyai, U Hatyai Hotel, Hi Season Hotel, Aura Hotel Hatyai–Songkhla, and others across Hat Yai, Songkhla city, and Sadao.

With regard to railway services to and from the south of the country, the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) reports that Southern Line operations are running normally on major routes, with full restoration expected by Sunday, 14th December.
Long-distance services to Hat Yai Junction and Padang Besar are operating, while some local trains continue on shortened sections during final repair works.
