TransNusa secures 19 flight routes in three years

TransNusa, an Indonesian airline, has successfully secured 19 scheduled flight routes within just three years of operations, including 11 international routes. The airline, led by CEO Bernard Francis, has focused on enhancing connectivity to popular tourism destinations, both domestically and internationally. This strategic expansion includes new domestic routes from Bali to Lombok and Bima, as well as Manado to Sorong and Sorong to Timika.

TransNusa's growth strategy, developed by Bernard Francis, has been tailored to adapt to the changing market demands post-pandemic. "What we envisaged for TransNusa was to build an Indonesian-based airline with strong fundamentals," Francis stated, highlighting the contributions of shareholders and business partners, including China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited.

The airline's first international route, launched within six months of operations, connected Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur. This was followed by routes to Singapore and China, marking significant milestones for the company. TransNusa also became the first Indonesian airline to operate regular scheduled international flights into Guangzhou.

The newly launched domestic routes aim to boost air connectivity for tourists. Flights from Bali to Lombok will operate twice daily, with plans to increase to three times daily. The Bali to Bima route will initially operate four times a week, increasing to daily flights from 22 December. Additionally, flights from Sorong to Timika and Manado to Sorong will operate four times weekly.

TransNusa's rapid expansion and strategic route development underscore its commitment to enhancing air travel options for both domestic and international tourists, positioning itself as a key player in the region's aviation industry.
