UNWTO conference in Hyderabad this week

The United Nations World Travel Organisation (UNWTO) will organise its conference on Sustainable Tourism Development in Hyderabad from 12-14 April.
The event will be held in conjunction with the 25th joint meeting of the UNWTO Commissions for East Asia, the Pacific and South Asia.
At the UNWTO conference, India will showcase its rich cultural heritage and its ability to host international meetings. At the curtain raise event in New Delhi last week, Tourism Minister, Dr K Chiranjeevi listed some of the events that are being organised to make this conference memorable. The events organised include visits to Golconda Fort, Salar Jung Museum and the Film City, trip to Nagarjunsagar and taste of local music and dance.
India is currently the chairperson of the UNWTO Regional Commission for South Asia.
