UP plans sound and light show at Varanasi

Uttar Pradesh plans to set up a sound and light show at Varanasi.
The Uttar Pradesh Tourism deputy director, Avinash Mishra told the Times of India that the project for sound and light show has been proposed under the priority projects of the tourism department marked by the central government in 2013-14.
The proposed show will be based on spiritual themes and will be performed at Asi ghat. The final decision on the project will be taken in a meeting in Lucknow, which will be held to finalise the priority projects.
Apart from the sound and light show in Varanasi, a number of other tourism projects will be discussed in the meeting at Lucknow. The proposed priority projects for 2013-14 are as below:

– – Beautification of Sarnath Jheel and Deer Park, Sarnath
– – Renovation and beautification of Gurudham temple
– – Development of Kinaram Sthal, Ghazipur
– – Upgradation and beautification of few ghats
– – Development of Aghor Ashram at Padao area
– – Beautification of Kabir Janm Sthali at Lahartara
