The visa application process for Indians travelling to US will now be easier than before. The US has unveiled a new initiative that exempts visa interviews for some categories of applicants who are applying for US visa to boost business and tourism between the countries.
Under the new programme, Indian applicants renewing full-validity visas will be exempted from personal interviews by the US consular officer if the visa is still valid or expired within 48 hours. The categories of Indian applicants who qualify for the interview waiver under the new scheme include business/tourism, transit and crew members.
