Virgin Atlantic has announced a limited-time offer allowing British Airways (BA) Club members to upgrade their loyalty status. Running from 10 to 23 February 2026, the promotion enables BA Silver members to achieve Flying Club Gold status, whilst Bronze members can be matched to Flying Club Silver. To qualify, participants must have a future booking with Virgin Atlantic, either a revenue or redemption flight, in Premium or Upper Class for Gold status, or any cabin for Silver.
The initiative is part of Virgin Atlantic's ongoing efforts to attract BA Club members by offering them the chance to experience the benefits of Flying Club. Notably, BA Club status does not need to be valid at the time of travel, and the airline is waiving its usual five-year status match limit. This means even those who have previously matched their status to Flying Club are eligible.
Anthony Woodman, Vice President of Flying Club & CRM at Virgin Atlantic, stated, โThere are few things more rewarding than sharing all that Flying Club has to offer - so weโre inviting customers who may not be feeling the love this Valentineโs to save their tiers with Virgin Atlantic.โ
This enhanced status match is part of a broader strategy by Virgin Atlantic to innovate and reward customer loyalty. Recent initiatives include the High Five reward, which grants 12,000 Virgin Points to customers flying with the airline in five different years. Additionally, Virgin Atlantic's membership in the SkyTeam alliance since 2023 has expanded opportunities for Flying Club members to earn and redeem points across 18 global airlines
