Visarun.ai automates visa processing in India

Visarun.ai, a Dubai-based visa-as-a-service platform, has launched its operations in Bangalore, marking its first international expansion. The move aims to streamline visa processing for India's burgeoning outbound tourism market, projected to reach $61.7 billion by 2033, with over 50 million international travellers expected annually by the decade's end.

The platform offers a comprehensive suite of services, automating e-visas for popular destinations such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, Vietnam, and Indonesia. It also supports complex visa applications, including Schengen Type C and US B1/B2 visas. Utilising a large language model and computer vision, visarun.ai validates documents against live embassy rules, auto-corrects non-compliant photos, and reduces the typical visa processing time from three to six weeks to just one to three days. Packages start at $49.

A standout feature of the platform is 'Mira', an AI consular simulator that conducts practice interviews, assessing users' confidence and facial cues via webcam, and providing targeted feedback. This innovation aims to reduce the 45% of visa applications delayed due to human error, which cost Indian travellers over ₹136 crore in 2024 due to Schengen visa rejections.

Founder Alena Iakina emphasised the importance of updating legacy systems, stating, “India’s outbound tourism is growing quickly, and international travellers are expected to number over 50 million by the end of the decade. But using old visa processes still costs travellers a lot of time and money.”

Visarun.ai's expansion into India is part of a broader strategy to connect emerging travel hubs, ensuring that border regulations do not hinder global ambitions. The platform operates 24/7, providing a fast, transparent, and straightforward experience for travellers and businesses alike
