Voyages of Discovery makes big UK push

Voyages of Discovery has announced that it is to dedicate five cruises in 2013 to ex-UK voyages, all departing from Portsmouth.
The cruises, which will be made by the newest addition to the fleet, the mv Voyager, will take in the best that the UK and Ireland has to offer.
The itineraries include the following:
• Heritage of the British Isles – In partnership with the National Trust this 10-day cruise visits the Snowdonia National Park (Wales, UK), the cathedral city of Durham and one of nature’s masterpieces – the Giant’s Causeway (Northern Ireland, UK).
The 10-day Heritage of the British Isles cruise costs from £949 (based on two people sharing an inside cabin). Departing from Portsmouth (England, UK) the cruise calls at St. Peter Port (Guernsey, Channel Islands, UK), Holyhead (Wales, UK), Liverpool (England, UK), Belfast (Northern Island, UK) Oban (Scotland, UK), Port of Tyne (England, UK) and Portsmouth (England, UK). Price is based on 2 June 2013 UK departure.
• Celtic Treasures – Keen walkers can explore Ireland on foot with Voyages of Discovery’s ‘footloose’ walking cruise programme. Mv Voyager will circumnavigate visiting destinations such as the Glenveagh National Park, the picturesque town of Killybegs and the capital city, Dublin.
The 9-day Celtic Treasures cruise costs from £849 (based on two people sharing an inside cabin). The cruise departs from Portsmouth (England, UK), and calls at Foynes (Ireland), Killybegs (Ireland), Portrush (Northern Ireland, UK), Dublin (Ireland), Cobh (Ireland) and St Peter Port (Guernsey, Channel Islands, UK) before returning to Portsmouth (England, UK). Price is based on a 25 May 2013 UK departure.
Both the prices above are based on Voyages of Discovery’s ‘saver fare’ option which is not inclusive of extras like onboard gratuities, car parking or coach transfers. The saver fare is payable in full upon booking.
