Western Railway plans more services

Western Railway will introduce 36 suburban services, including two 15-car trains from 27 March in Mumbai. The additional services will be able to accommodate 1.5 lakh more commuters, an official told the Times of India.
“The services have been introduced as a part of budgetary commitments. With this, Western Railway will introduce 40 services during the fiscal year. Fifteen-car services will increase to 14 and 12-car services to 1,040,” said Western Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Sharat Chandrayan.
The daily number of services on Western Railway will now be 1,250 from 27 March
