September will mark the arrival of a new luxury urban resort brand in China.
Shanghai-based WHM Group formally introduced the five-star WH Ming Hotels brand yesterday, with its flagship property WH Ming Hotel Shanghai set to open shortly.
WH Ming Hotel Shanghai revives the “Yi Po Erh Shih” concept, meaning “One night with Two Meals”, with Chinese culinary delicacies offered at dinner and breakfast, plus a peek into the Chinese bathhouse experience all included in the room rate.
The 188-room hotel has been custom designed to celebrate authentic aspects of Shanghai culture, enhanced with modern comforts.
The elegantly designed rooms and suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows with park and lake views.
Included in every guest stay is a banquet set dinner with seasonal ingredients sourced from across Shanghai and neighbouring areas. Seasonal dishes include Yanduxian Pork Soup in spring, Shanghai’s famous Hairy Crabs in autumn and Clay Pot Stews in winter. The inclusive daily breakfast meanwhile is a celebration of Shanghai’s cherished traditional dim sum breakfast treats.
The room rate also includes an hour-long massage in the 5,000 sqm Faye Spa with 22 traditional oriental bathhouse suites, and nine European style suites.
The hotel also sports a variety of events spaces including the 1,200 sqm Diamond Grand Ballroom, the 480 sqm Ruby Ballroom, and four multi-function rooms with cutting-edge facilities.
