Work starts on longest suspension bridge

Work has begun on what will be Vietnam’s longest suspension bridge. Thanh Nien News reported that the Nhat Tan Bridge will link the districts of Tay Ho and Dong Anh in Hanoi.
The project, which is nearly 9km long, including the 3.7km-long, eight-lane bridge, is being built at a cost of VND13.6 trillion (US$777.6 million). It is due for completion in 2012.
