Worldhotels reports revenue growth

Worldhotels has announced that it has more than 100, 000 rooms worldwide following the addition of 45 new properties to the portfolio. The group has also reported an increase in revenue as its total room night production was up 34% and gross room revenue grew 49% for the first eight months of 2010, compared to last year. “The year got off to a flying start and simply carried on from there,” said Worldhotels Managing Director Robert Hornman. ‘We are greatly encouraged that all our efforts are paying off.” Worldhotels’ Global Corporate Value Programme led to a doubling in corporate bookings and 22% extra rooms have been booked through the HIGH 5 initiative with American Express travel agencies. The group’s MICE gift voucher and donation incentives has also increased sales leads by 25%.
