Wyndham has opened its 2,200th Super 8 hotel – the Super 8 Hotel Lhasa DuoDiLu in Tibet. The new budget hotel, located close to the Potala Palace, brings Super 8’s Chinese portfolio to 275 hotels.
“Super 8’s success can be attributed to its winning combination of quality and value, which has been embraced by hotel developers as well as travelers around the world,” said John Valletta, President of the Super 8 brand.
In addition to its expansion in China, the brand announced a deal in March that will bring a minimum of 10 Super 8 hotels to Poland over the next five years – a deal which marks the entry of Super 8 into Europe.
The Super 8 Hotel Lhasa DuoDiLu offers 59 rooms as well as free high-speed internet access, complimentary outdoor parking and an on-site business centre.
