Wyndham Hotel Group has announced its expansion in India with the signing of agreements to franchise three hotels under its Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and Ramada brands. The new properties will be a 154-room Wyndham Grand property in Agra, and two new construction Ramada properties in Alleppey and Ghaziabad. These three new properties will add to the group’s 14 hotels already in operation in India, and other 15 properties that are currently under development.

The 154-room and suite Wyndham Grand Agra, owned by Shekhar Resorts Limited, is schedule to open by the end of 2011. Ramada Alleppey is slated to open in March 2012 with 112 rooms including 24 suites, while the Ramada Ghaziabad, BS Road will be a 100-room property with 20 suites. It is scheduled to commence operations in March 2016. The signings also increase the company’s portfolio of hotels in the Asia Pacific region, which currently consists of 425 properties and more than 61,700 rooms.
