Wynn Al Marjan Island unveils art collection for 2027 opening

Wynn Al Marjan Island, set to open in Ras Al Khaimah in Spring 2027, has announced a museum-calibre art collection that will be displayed throughout the resort. This collection, curated with meticulous attention to detail, spans various periods including prehistoric, ancient, Victorian, and Orientalist works, promising an immersive experience for guests.

The collection includes a 66-million-year-old Triceratops skull, a specially commissioned sculpture by British artist Marc Quinn, and a 17th-century tapestry with counterparts in the Louvre and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Additionally, major works from Wynn's global properties will be featured, such as Jeff Koonsโ€™ 11-metre Tulips and a Jaume Plensa sculpture from his Secret Garden series.

Todd-Avery Lenahan, President and Chief Creative Officer of Wynn Design & Development, emphasised the resort's unique approach to art: โ€œWynn Al Marjan Islandโ€™s approach to art goes far beyond acquisition. Beauty is a universal language, and by integrating art into the fabric of the resort, Wynn invites guests to discover these pieces in an informal yet engaging and meaningful way.โ€

The collection also highlights contemporary regional voices, including works by Algerian artist Faรฏza Maghni. Lenahan noted, โ€œEvery piece of art across the resort, whether in a room or within a public space, has been commissioned specifically for its place in the resort.โ€

Set across more than 60 hectares, the resort will offer 1,217 rooms, 297 suites, and a variety of luxury amenities. Construction is on track, with the iconic spire's topping-out planned for November 2025, ahead of the 2027 opening.
