Jet Airways has introduced a second daily flight between New Delhi and Abu Dhabi, the respective capitals of India and the UAE.

The new service, flight 9W212, is already underway, departing Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport at 1745 and arriving in Abu Dhabi at 2010. The return flight, 9W211, then leaves the UAE capital at 0845 and arrives back in Delhi at 1335.

“The new service will offer our guests additional flexibility and choice to plan their travel, whether to the Gulf or further onwards. It is yet another step from Jet Airways to make their travel experience enjoyable, convenient and comfortable,” said Jayaraj Shanmugam, Jet’s chief commercial officer.

“Our signature Indian hospitality together with our commitment to create an exceptional flying experience for our guests will undoubtedly cement our place as the preferred airline on this extremely vital route.”

The burgeoning ties between India and the UAE have opened up significant opportunities for trade and tourism. Bilateral trade between the two nations is projected to reach US$100 billion by 2020.
