Jet Airways teams up with Uber for airport transfers

The service will be available in 29 Indian cities

Jet Airways has sealed a major new partnership with Uber, the ride-hailing service.

Under the tie-up, any passenger who books a flight using the Jet Airways mobile app will be offered the chance to add an Uber reservation to their booking, for travel to or from the airport.

First time customers will also be offered a INR150 (US$2.30) discount on their first three Uber rides by using the promo code ‘JETUBER’.

“Our partnership with Uber… is a meeting of minds, where two leading, technology savvy and innovation-driven organisations have joined hands with an objective to create and promote new and fulfilling travel experiences for their guests in the long term,” said Jayaraj Shanmugam, Jet’s chief commercial officer.

“The association is especially meaningful since both Jet Airways and Uber have substantially similar guest profiles and needs, which will facilitate greater collaboration,” he added.

The partnership will cover 29 Indian cities in which both Jet and Uber operate, and applies only to bookings made via Jet’s app.
