Royal Caribbean has announced an expansion of its European cruise offerings for the 2028-29 season, introducing a year-round schedule for the first time. This new itinerary will allow travellers to explore destinations such as the Canary Islands, Madeira, and Morocco during winter, and Scandinavia and the Greek Isles in summer. The cruises will be available on seven ships, with bookings now open for Crown & Anchor Society members.

The Rhapsody of the Seas will be at the forefront of this expansion, offering 7 to 12-night holidays from Athens, Barcelona, and Lisbon. Travellers can enjoy overnight stays in Egypt and Istanbul or explore the sun-soaked Greek Isles, including the Ultimate Santorini Day excursion. From November 2028, the ship will visit the Canary Islands, Portugal, Morocco, Cyprus, Malta, and Greece.

Other ships, such as the Explorer of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas, and Jewel of the Seas, will offer diverse itineraries. These include 7-night Mediterranean holidays from Venice, Northern European adventures from Southampton, and Baltic cruises from Copenhagen and Stockholm. Each ship features Royal Caribbean's signature experiences, from rock climbing and sushi dining to waterslides and surf simulators.

Royal Caribbean's Managing Director stated, "Holidaymakers can explore Europe any time of year on Rhapsody of the Seas from summer adventures with overnight stays in Egypt to winter getaways to the Canary Islands."

This expansion marks Royal Caribbean's return to several European destinations, including Heraklion, Greece, and Cagliari, Sardinia, for the first time in over a decade. The new itineraries promise a blend of cultural exploration and onboard entertainment, catering to a wide range of holidaymakers.
