Amankora reopens Paro and Punakha lodges

Amankora has reopened its Paro and Punakha lodges in Bhutan after extensive refurbishments, offering guests renewed suites and enhanced wellness experiences. The lodges, nestled in Bhutan's picturesque landscapes, now feature upgraded social spaces and wellness facilities designed to connect visitors with nature.

Located in the serene Paro Valley, Amankora Paro introduces two new wellness experiences. The Spa House, designed by Kerry Hill Architects, offers a private hammam, treatment rooms, and a heated swimming pool. Signature treatments include a 60-minute Hammam Treatment and a Half-Day Journey combining massage and relaxation. The Wild Nature Banya Experience, crafted from Canadian Hemlock wood, provides a sauna ritual with panoramic views of the historic Drukyel Dzong fortress.

In Punakha Valley, the Punakha Lodge, set in a restored 300-year-old farmhouse, offers guests a glimpse into Bhutan's spiritual and agricultural heritage. The lodge now includes a dining room, retail space, and a traditional altar room. The 12 suites have been refreshed with modern amenities, and the spa features new treatment rooms and hydrotherapy facilities.

Amankora's lodges across Bhutan's five valleys—Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey, and Bumthang—offer unique experiences, allowing guests to explore the kingdom's diverse landscapes. The recent updates aim to enhance the journey through Bhutan, aligning with Aman’s philosophy of providing transformative travel experiences. Reservations for the lodges are now open
