Holland America Line unveils Alaska Heritage Tours

Holland America Line has announced the launch of its Alaska Heritage Tours to commemorate 80 years of exploration in the region in 2027. The collection features more than 36 excursions, some tracing back to the cruise line's earliest journeys in Alaska, offering guests a chance to experience the same landscapes and traditions that have captivated travellers for decades.

The Alaska Heritage Tours are available on select cruises and Cruisetours, highlighting experiences such as the historic White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad and the Riverboat Discovery. These tours have been modernised over the years but remain true to their roots, providing an authentic connection to Alaska's history and culture. Carole Biencourt, Vice President of Onboard Revenue at Holland America Line, stated, “As we approach our 80th season in the region, we’re proud that the experiences featured in our Alaska Heritage Tours collection have been part of the Holland America Line journey since our earliest explorations of Alaska in the 1940s.”

The collection includes a variety of tours, such as the McKinley Explorer Railroad, the Mendenhall Glacier Explorer, and the Denali Tundra Wilderness Tour. These excursions connect guests with Alaska's railways, glaciers, wildlife, and national parks, reflecting the landscapes and adventures that have defined the destination for generations.

Bookings for the Alaska Heritage Tours are now open for select 2027 Alaska cruises and Cruisetours, with prices starting from $719 (£719) per person. As Holland America Line celebrates its 80th anniversary in Alaska, these tours promise to deepen guests' connections with the region's rich heritage and natural beauty.
