Agoda has launched its AI Assistant, a new feature designed to simplify travel planning and bookings. Following initial testing in September, the assistant is now available in 21 markets through Agoda's mobile app. It helps users discover destinations, plan trips and book travel in one place.
The AI Assistant combines conversational trip planning with Agoda's inventory of more than six million accommodation options, flights, tours and attractions. Users can explore ideas, compare options, check prices and availability, and make bookings without restarting their searches. The assistant also remembers user preferences and trip details to create a more seamless experience.
Agoda CEO Omri Morgenshtern said the tool addresses the fragmented nature of travel planning. "With Agoda's AI Assistant, we're giving travellers a smart companion that understands their preferences and trip context and adapts to their needs."
OpenAI models power the assistant's core intelligence. Google Maps Grounding provides up-to-date information on restaurants and points of interest. The assistant also uses web search to deliver real-time information alongside Agoda's live travel inventory.
Early beta feedback shows growing interest in booking connected trips. These combine multiple travel products, including flights, hotels and tours, into a single travel plan.
The launch marks another step in Agoda's use of artificial intelligence to improve travel discovery, planning and booking. It also reflects a wider shift towards integrated digital travel experiences.
