About the Opportunity
The General Manager of Enterprise Risk will play an integral role in developing the maturity of FCTG’s risk management framework and assurance function, and will report to the Group CFO whilst working collaboratively with other teams across FCTG’s global operations
As FCTG’s Risk Management subject matter expert, this role will lead the development, implementation and ongoing operation of the Risk Management Policy, the Risk Management Framework and supporting processes and systems. This role will also lead the restructure and maturity of the internal audit function across the group.
What you will be doing:
To ensure the effectiveness of Flight Centre’s risk management framework, you will be responsible for:
Operating as third-line risk management, own the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, risk policies, procedures and systems:
Ensure the framework is fully embedded and operational across all regions
Collaborate with regions and businesses as they develop, implement & maintain appropriate systems, procedures and controls to identify and mitigate risk.
Development of a strategic plan in relation to the creation of a global Internal Audit function to be embedded within Enterprise Risk
Develop, maintain and quality assure enterprise risk registers and monitor implementation of controls and agreed treatment actions
Prepare various risk management reports to the FCTG Board, Audit & Risk Committee and Executive Taskforce.
Provide risk management training, advice and support to regions and business units as required
Build capacity in relation to contemporary risk management practices
You’ll be perfect for this role if you can showcase:
Formal post graduate qualifications and certification in Risk Management
Minimum 10 years experience in risk management
Organisational skills demonstrating a systematic approach, proven ability to prioritise, plan and deliver
Ability to take a strategic concept through to implementation
Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal, influencing and coaching skills to facilitate change.
Collaborative approach, demonstrating respect and integrity
Ability to engage with, challenge and influence Senior Management
