About the Opportunity
An opportunity exists for a driven accountant to join Global Enterprise Technology Services (ETS).
Information Technology at Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) has developed organically across the world. This has resulted in the duplication of costs in the provision of technology services and redundant organisational structures.
Global ETS is a newly structured global area, creating a single organisational model which removes redundant capabilities and focuses on the consistent delivery of core technology services globally. The reorganised workload enables automation and collaboration and improves the employee experience.
In this role you you will be responsible for the preparation of Global ETS financial and management reports, forecasts and budgets. Working closely with the Global ETS Commercial Leader, you will constantly strive to implement efficiency improvements in the financial and management reporting processes, providing the foundation for the commercial analysis that will transform Global ETS and achieve costs savings for FCTG globally.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure strong financial control and integrity across the business
Prepare monthly reconciliations, journals, financial statements and management reports
Conduct analysis of variances between actuals and budget
Prepare compliance requirements including Head Office Reporting Pack
Assist in with the preparation of forecasts and budgets
Assist with financial controls across the business including P&L, Balance Sheet and financial risk mitigation
Ensure compliance with regulators, company policies and internal audit recommendations
Assistance with half-year and year-end external audit requirements
Constantly look to improve efficiency within the finance workflow and processes
Assist with the implementation of systems and process improvement initiatives
Ad-hoc project work as required

Skills and Experience
CPA/CA (or equivalent) qualified or studying towards
Experience in a finance, accounting and commerce environment
High level of expertise in Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail
Strong financial control, commercial acumen and technical knowledge
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels
Proven teamwork skills
Strong customer focus – both internally and externally
High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth and pressure
Proven time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work to strict deadlines
Possess strong initiative to resolve issues and pursue opportunities as they are identified
